Suwannee Gables Motel & Marina

Our stay at Suwannee Gables Motel was exceptional. The room was spotless, modern, and well-maintained, and the view of the river was absolutely stunning. The owners were incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to recommend great local restaurants and nearby springs. Although our visit was brief, we’re already planning to return to enjoy kayaking, explore more springs, and relax by the fire pit. While I’m not a diver, I learned that this area is highly regarded for diving enthusiasts. During our trip, we walked the scenic trails at Manatee Springs State Park (a rewarding 9,000-step hike), where we spotted manatees and large fish. We also visited Hart Springs Park, which was equally beautiful. For dining, our favorite meal was at Off the Beet in Trenton, FL, and we highly recommend stopping by Legends Desserts, conveniently located across from the motel. The Suwannee Gables Motel is charming, welcoming, and the perfect destination to unplug and relax. The owners’ attention to detail is evident throughout the property, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We look forward to returning soon!

The Suwannee Gables owners and staff were very kind and accommodating during our stay. It was nice to visit with them regarding the history of the motel. We were traveling with our dog Moses. Their motel is pet friendly and has a nice place to walk pets. Also, enjoyed our balcony room. Very nice to sit and enjoy the beautiful weather and river. This is our second stay with them. We will definitely be back!!!

This place is amazing. It screams, natural Florida! The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was kind and helpful. It is in the perfect location for the river, kayaking and fishing was great. I will be staying there again soon.

This place is really a hidden gem. The outdoor facilities on the suwanee river were very peaceful. It was the relaxing getaway we needed. Cozy, clean rooms. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners. They are wonderful people, highly recommend staying here to anyone in the area.

I had such a wonderful stay at Suwannee Gables! The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived. I chose this spot to be close to a business appointment, and it ended up being the perfect retreat. I loved working from the balcony in the fresh open air and taking a relaxing stroll down to the beautiful Suwannee River. The host recommended Suwannee Belle Landing for dinner, and it did not disappoint…. great food and a great atmosphere. Communication was excellent throughout my stay, and it was such a refreshing change from the usual business hotels. I’m already hoping to come back soon, this time with my husband and our bass boat! Highly recommend.

The Suwannee Gables motel was the perfect stop for my time in Old Town. I reserved a newly renovated room, which was clean, comfy, and the bathroom was beautiful! I loved the morning view from my balcony room and the sunset over the river was amazing. The owners are wonderful! You can tell they put their heart into creating a warm, welcoming property that blends old-Florida charm and modern comfort. Can't wait to return!

Suwannee Gables is the perfect destination if you’re looking for that hard to find blend of Old Florida feel with modern amenities. The rooms are super clean and recently renovated. There are multiple fire pits and lounging areas all overlooking the river. Speaking of the river, it’s absolutely beautiful and the motel property has its own boat launch and river access! The staff are super friendly and helpful and don’t forget to ask them about making s’mores! We had a very pleasurable stay and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a relaxing retreat on the river.

Great place! Staff was awesome and even let me borrow a cooler when I was I forgot mine! Has a great back gathering area with multiple fire pits and a nice dock! Rooms were clean and freshly remodeled!
